Global Fisheries Conference 2023 (GFC-2023) from 21st-22nd November, 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat

On the occasion of World fisheries Day (WFD) the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAH&D),Government of India is organizing it first edition of Global Fisheries Conference 2023 (GFC-2023) from 21st-22nd November, 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

World fisheries Day is celebrated each year on 21st November to highlight the importance of sustainable and responsible harnessing and managing marine and inland fisheries resources.

With an unwavering commitment to the persistent growth of this vital sector, the Global Fisheries Conference offers a unique platform for various value chain players (fishers, fish farmers, FFPOs, SHGs, input suppliers, processors, marketers etc.), policy-makers, researchers, academicians, sector experts, and enthusiasts to chart the course for the future. It is an opportunity to explore the R&D, challenges and opportunities that are shaping the fisheries landscape.

The key themes if the conference shall encompass sustainability in fisheries and aquaculture, innovation, research and technology, fisheries clusters, inland and coastal aquaculture ,etc...In line with the same, the conference will comprised of activities such as technology demonstration and exhibition, plenary sessions, international pavilions along with Global CEO Forum. The event will also be a platform to recognise achievers who have demonstrated exemplary contributions in the sector.
