The Logistics industry in India is evolving rapidly and becoming more competitive in terms of its offering to the customers and how it would help to reduce their logistics costs and provide effective services. Further, for Goa to become a logistics hub and attain an export-led growth, land requirement will increase among different sectors besides manufacturing, while warehousing will become a major concern.

Logistics is the backbone of the economy, providing efficient, cost effective flow of goods on which other commercial sectors depend. Logistics has become one of the most important part of the business economic system and is a major global economic activity.  There is a strong prospect of Goa emerging as a logistics hub of India, by pooling the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar” campaign.

The State Government is looking at a holistic plan for development in the coming decades and identify land for different sectors like manufacturing, technology, tourism, education, entertainment, food and agriculture, logistics, etc.  

The main objective of the Conference is to deliberate on issues relating to measures required for promoting multimodal logistics in the State:

• Development of Air-Cargo in the State  
• Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Goa
• Blue Economy - Integration of Water based Economy
