November BoG Meeting

We have already expressed our position on the situation in Ukraine and will not repeat ourselves except to reiterate our firm conviction that dialogue is the only answer to settling differences and disputes, however daunting that may appear at the moment. Today’s era must not be of war.

2.        We continue to follow carefully the developments in Ukraine regarding the safety and security of Ukraine’s nuclear power reactors and facilities, including regular updates from the DG and his reports on the matter.It is important for the Board to bear in mind the mandate of the IAEAas we address the important issues of safety and security of nuclear facilities.Keeping in view the totality of the evolving situation, India has decided to abstain on this resolution.
