Restoration of the Sovereign Equality of all IAEA Members

India attaches importance to the principle of sovereign equality of all members of IAEA as enshrined in the statute of the Agency. All member States should enjoy   rights and benefits resulting from membership of IAEA. 

A significant number of IAEA member States do not belongto any regional group and are deprived of the opportunity to participate in work of the Agency. This is clearly an undesirable situation. In this regard, we support the idea of  consultations towards finding a solution to this issue.
